This famous ruin site was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987 and is one of the most important prehistoric sites in America. Teotihuacán was built in the 6th century BC and became the cultural and economic center of Central America with up to 200,000 inhabitants. Let your guide explain everything important about this unique temple complex and then climb the imposing moon or sun pyramid. From there you can get an idea of the huge dimensions of this archaeological site.
This is followed by a delicious lunch (optional) at a nearby impressive grotto before heading back to Mexico City.
